Now, in order that it be possible to do it exactly as if you were on your smartphone, a 22-year-old developer Terkel Gjervig has created Ramme, a non-official Instagram client for Windows, Mac and Linux that perfectly imitates the look and mechanics of the original mobile-device-oriented app.<\/p>\n<p>Ramme, the Danish word for \u201cpicture frame\u201d, is the name this young entrepreneur has chosen for his app. Its light interface is also user-friendly, copying the mobile Instagram experience faithfully. It\u2019s thought as an alternative for Instagram, although it doesn\u2019t include some apps\u2019 functions \u2013 you can\u2019t upload pics and no extra features are included. However, it\u2019s precisely for that the app has known an amazing success. Its simple and minimalist design allows users to live the experience of Instagram on their PCs.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-851 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iigers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/04-ramme.jpg\" alt=\"04 ramme\" width=\"307\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iigers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/04-ramme.jpg 500w, https:\/\/iigers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/04-ramme-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/iigers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/04-ramme-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/>&#8220;Ramme&#8221;, &#8220;picture frame&#8221; in Danish, is the name of this popular Instagram desktop version<\/div>\n<p>Gjervig hasn\u2019t included uploading pictures in his short-term agenda for the app. Many non-official Instagram-like sites have been closed for that reason, and he didn\u2019t want to risk it all, at least for the moment. Also, the site is completely open, meaning that anyone can contribute with it to improve users\u2019 experience. It\u2019s totally free too, just like Instagram itself.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its few flaws, it\u2019s been hugely successful because it <em>does look <\/em>like Instagram. Its vertical format doesn\u2019t completely fit a normal computer screen, and it seems you\u2019re on your phone wile using it.
